Lysine is an essential amino acid for many functions in the development of the organism of various animal species, whose biochemical functions in the organism are related to the presence in the structure of many enzymes, it is essential in collagen, in the development of structural proteins (bones, connective tissue) and precursor of carnitine. When the animal has a lysine deficiency, the consequences are reduced growth performance, increased FCR, decreased egg production/weight, among others, affecting the zootechnical performance of the species and causing a negative economic impact on animal production.
